Restore Jobs
Affirming Dignity Through Work
Community members who have been incarcerated, homeless, or are in recovery from substance abuse face major barriers to meaningful employment. Restore Jobs is a program that builds pathways back into the workforce through paid work experience, classroom training, and individual mentorship and case management.
The Job
Each individual works at least 20 hours per week doing litter abatement and general clean up work. They receive on the job coaching to learn and embody strong work ethic, dependability, integrity, teamwork, and initiative.
The Classroom
Work Life - Each student in the program begins by taking an 8 week job readiness class called Work Life. The learn soft skills, build a resume and a vocational plan, and begin to map out their course to achieve long term employment goals.
Faith & Finances - Students then take a faith-based financial literacy course called Faith & Finances. Here they learn the foundational concepts and practices necessary to have a healthy relationship with their finances.
The Process
From the time they enter into the program, each individual gets one-on-one mentorship where they set personal goals and begin to eliminate roadblocks to long term success - driver’s license, saving money, permanent housing, etc.
